SUMMARY:Recoding Food: AI as an operating system for the food industry (International Food Innovation Conference 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence is reorganising the food system from source to plate. Across research and development\, manufacturing\, and through autonomous systems\, data-driven applications are pushing beyond the limits of traditional value creation. At the consumer interface\, new ecosystems are emerging as retail\, industry\, and technology converge to deliver integrated solutions. In the future\, those who control the data flows within this system will not only shape products and pricing\, they will also influence the standards that define health\, sustainability\, and consumer trust. For the industry\, AI is becoming a strategic lever for resilience\, growth\, and differentiation. \nThe 6th International Food Innovation Conference explores how a new generation of technologies is challenging the food system with a new set of rules. At its core are the strategic questions leaders must address now to safeguard innovative capacity and long-term competitiveness. Together with international thought leaders from academia\, industry\, retail\, and technology\, we will discuss the following key questions: \nInnovation in R&D: How are AI-enabled development processes accelerating innovation cycles and reshaping future product portfolios as well as health and sustainability promises?\nIntelligent Production: What does an autonomous production environment look like\, where interconnected AI systems manage and monitor processes\, energy use\, quality\, and food safety?\nCustomer Journey: How are manufacturers and retailers using AI-powered customer journeys to create highly personalised experiences? And how can data partnerships enable companies to become trusted health and sustainability partners without compromising consumer privacy or autonomy?\nResilience and Food Security: How can AI serve as a risk radar to safeguard raw material supply amid climate change\, water scarcity\, and geopolitical disruption?\nAI Limits and Responsibility: Which governance\, data\, and talent strategies are needed to ensure the responsible use of AI in sensitive areas such as food safety\, health claims\, transparency\, and regulatory compliance? \nThe International Food Innovation Conference is curated for decision-makers from the food industry and retail sector – from global FMCG players and brand manufacturers to retailers. It offers strategic insights for those seeking to understand AI as a lever for resilience\, growth\, and new value creation models\, while also taking into account the social and ecological consequences. \nThe conference will be held in German and English. \nHashtag: #foodinno26

SUMMARY:5th International Food Innovation Conference
DESCRIPTION:Beyond Nutrition : The Convergence of Food\, Health\, and Beauty \nUnlike food\, where we are limited by satiety\, the pursuit of well-being is limitless. New scientific findings on the interactions between nutrition\, beauty and holistic health are driving the convergence of traditionally isolated industries. A new\, dynamic ecosystem with enormous growth potential is emerging at this interface. \nThe 5th International Food Innovation Conference will shed light on the rise of this integrated wellbeing market: from functional foods and science-based beauty products to personalised prevention concepts\, food\, healthcare and beauty are merging to create a new billion-dollar market. This transformation\, driven by the latest research findings and technological innovations\, is creating completely new value networks and offering companies unique opportunities to position themselves in this growth market. \nExperience how leading scientists\, entrepreneurs and thought leaders are shaping this development and discuss the following questions: \n– How can food innovations promote healthy ageing and deliver on the longevity promise?\n– How does microbiome analysis enable personalised health solutions?\n– How can upcycling of food by-products open up new beauty markets?\n– How are digital technologies creating holistic health experiences?\n– How are traditional distribution channels (e.g. supermarkets) becoming integrated wellbeing centres? \nThe conference is aimed at decision-makers from the food and beauty industry\, retail\, drugstores\, pharmacies\, hotels and healthcare who want to utilise the opportunities of this convergence for their business. Discover the future of a market whose growth potential is only just beginning to unfold – and find out how your company can benefit from this transformation. \nValley partners benefit from a 25% discount on the full participation fee (900 CHF instead of 1200 CHF).

SUMMARY:GDI's 3rd International Food Innovation Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Great Food Gridlock: It’s the Consumer\, Stupid!\n \n2000: That’s how many kilocalories a human needs to fill up their belly. Food is\, therefore\, a predatory market: Which products get the biggest stomach share? Currently\, the wrong ones. The result: polluted soils\, dying waters\, painful livestock farming\, food waste\, hunger\, diabetes\, and obesity… We’ve heard it all. \nBut there are alternatives\, from regenerative agriculture and sustainable production methods to alternative proteins and a circular economy to healthier food. \nYet\, consumers don’t seem interested\, even though animal welfare\, environmental protection and climate change are hot topics. Customers look at the price\, and it seems too high to them. They are concerned about their health\, and distrust innovations. They demand taste\, and are not satisfied. \nHow do we get out of the dilemma between price\, health and sustainability? The International Food Innovation Conference is dedicated to the question of how the food system can be sustainably reformed along its entire value chain\, from production to final consumption. In its third edition\, the focus is on consumers. Representatives of startups and industry leaders will discuss with scientists and thought leaders questions such as: \n\nWhat does it take for novel food to be accepted?\nDo consumers need to be seduced and educated?\nCan suppliers survive with better food at lower prices?\nWill healthy diets become the luxury of the future?\nHow do we solve the standoff in the game of responsibility between producers\, industry\, trade\, consumers\, politics\, authorities and regulators?\nWho will be the game changer\, a “Tesla of the food industry”?\n\nThe International Food Innovation Conference will be held in German and English (with simultaneous translation).
