The Innovation Booster Future Food Farming powered by Innosuisse invites you to connect and collaboratively shape transformative solutions in an Open Exploration Workshop.
Through a shared understanding of current conflicts of interest, stakeholders—from farmers to citizens, from research to application—develop projects that contribute to solving problems and changing the status quo.
Project funding of up to CHF 39’000 can be obtained after participating in the workshop, incubation sessions, and meeting the participation requirements.
Together, we tackle the challenges of urban farming operations under the theme: Farming Properly in an Urban Environment
Agriculture faces major challenges: rising costs, limited land, climate change, and often a lack of recognition from the public. How can urban farming operations become more economically viable, visible, and confident?
In this Open Exploration Workshop, we will jointly explore the obstacles and opportunities for farming businesses operating in urban environments. We will exchange experiences, discover innovative solution approaches, and develop practical strategies to make urban agriculture more sustainable and economically sound.
For anyone who wants to make community-focused agriculture future-proof!
During this workshop, we will:
• Visit and learn about the urban leasehold farm Schipferhof and its surroundings
• Identify challenges and opportunities in the environment and among stakeholders
• Gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of our agricultural and food systems
• Prepare an opportunity report that paves the way for new impulses and value-based solutions
Why participate?
• Join a vibrant, multidisciplinary community passionate about reshaping our food landscape
• Gain insights into relevant hurdles and understand their impacts
• Find suitable partners for an innovation project and secure funding and support
This event is organized in collaboration with Grün Stadt Zürich and will be conducted in German.
